Tim Hanes is the President and CEO of Master Meter Inc., bringing decades of experience in manufacturing, distribution, and the water industry. His career began with GE Appliances and Stanley Black & Decker, where he developed expertise in Six Sigma, product management, and operations. He later spent nearly a decade at HD Supply Waterworks (now Core & Main), driving strategic initiatives and acquisitions. Since joining Master Meter in 2016, Tim has held key leadership roles, culminating in his appointment as President and CEO in 2024.
Tim holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his wife, Dawn, and their four children. He’s an avid golfer and a dedicated Penn State football fan. He also once jumped out of the first plane he ever flew in—tandem skydiving.
Coby Kleinjan is the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Master Meter Inc., leading North American sales and marketing operations. With over 18 years of experience in sales leadership and customer service, he has successfully managed large teams and driven strategic growth.
Before Master Meter, Coby held executive roles at Mouser Electronics, overseeing a team of 300 across the Americas. He also has experience in the sporting goods industry and nonprofit leadership with Young Life.
Coby holds a B.A. in Communication Arts and Sciences from Calvin University.
Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, DIY projects, and spending time with his wife, Cheryl, and their two sons. A former college lacrosse player, he also coached a state championship high school team.
Josh McMurphy is the Chief Executive Officer of MeterLogix, a leader in utility submetering and “point-of-use” technology.
With over 17 years of experience in the utilities sector—spanning water, gas, and electricity—Josh is recognized for driving innovation, operational excellence, and fostering long-term client partnerships. Under his leadership, MeterLogix has achieved fivefold growth while maintaining a commitment to honest, transparent business practices.
Josh is a passionate advocate for energy and sustainability initiatives and works to strengthen partnerships within the energy industry.
Outside of work, Josh is a dedicated husband and father of four. He is active in his local church and community, with experience serving in missions abroad.
John Hayden grew up moving across the United States, experiencing diverse cultures and communities. He eventually settled in Cache Valley, Utah, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University. While there, he met and married his wife, Haley, and they are now raising three boys in the valley they call home.
With over 15 years of experience in the Utilities Management industry, John has focused on building strong teams, streamlining operations, and driving innovation. As President of Valiflo, he leads a company dedicated to helping municipalities optimize their utility management through advanced technology and proactive solutions.
John brings this expertise to the Water Impact Network leadership committee, uniting industry leaders and technology to deliver clean, sustainable water to underserved regions and create lasting change.
David Clyde grew up in Cache Valley, Utah, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University. With a professional background spanning sales, marketing, business development, and fostering meaningful partnerships, David brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Chief Operating Officer of Next Meters.
In his role, David is dedicated to driving growth and operational excellence, leveraging his strong relationship-building skills to deliver exceptional results for partners and clients.
Outside of work, David and his wife, Abby, are raising their five children in Cache Valley. He is passionate about his community and is committed to making a positive impact both professionally and personally.
